The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Peter Y. Ho as Vice-President, Business Development and Operation effective April 15, 2006. In his new capacity, Mr. Ho will spearhead the Company into new business ventures in Enviro-Energy projects with China, Indonesia and other areas globally. These ventures are to include Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) scheme, Enhanced CBM Recovery (ECBM) as part of the CO2 sequestration projects and developing Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) for those countries. Mr. Ho will utilize his experience and expertise in EOR/ECBM technology and the understanding of the complex Kyoto Agreement mechanism to promote and develop these countries hydrocarbon resources with the goal of reducing green house gas (GHG) emission, thus benefiting the host country and globally as a whole.
Mr. Ho has been working as Petroleum engineer with major oil companies such as BP, Kerr-McGee, Texaco, TranCanada Pipelines in performing EOR design, acquisition/merger, reservoir simulation, operation tasks. During his last 12 years of consulting and training business with Computer Modelling Group (CMG), a worldwide leading high tech reservoir simulation software company, he provided reservoir simulation consulting and training on EOR, ECBM/CBM design to major companies globally such as Shell, Encana, Burlington, Conoco-Philips, Husky Oil, PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, Pertamina, Petronas, ONGC, PetroVietnam, Kuwait Oil, Teikoku Oil and many others worldwide.
Mr. Ho is also the chief technical/liaison officer for the first Canada/China ECBM project worth $10 million dollars funded by Canadian Government and Chinese Government to perform CO2 sequestration into a coal seam in China. The project has been on going since 2002 and has successfully conducted field trials based on Canada's expert design.
Mr. Ho will continue to use his technical/business expertise and connection to excel the Company into the new Enviro-energy technology era and establishing the Company as a leading Enviro-Energy company. Mr. Ho will report to Mr. Kenny W. Chan directly in his new capacity.
